Club Barbecues

These popular well attended events will be starting again at Stoney Cove to coincide with the Club Dive Nights on the third Wednesday evening of the month. The first one is to start on Wednesday 19th May. The cost will be £2.50 to cover to cost of food and fuel – please bring your own drinks. Please let me know prior to the event if you are coming, (and pay me) so I can get enough food in. Let’s hope for some better weather this year, as every time I lit the barby last year, it rained!!

Clay Pigeon Shooting

I have provisionally booked this for Saturday 5th June at Barby Sporting Club. The cost is approx. £25.00 and aim to meet at around 4.00pm, details to be confirmed. Normally we have a bite to eat in the restaurant afterwards, pay for this separately. I need to know if anyone is interested in this as soon as possible and will require a £5.00 deposit.

Annual Barbecue

This year will be held in Pete and Annette’s garden (weather permitting). The cost will be £3.50, please bring your own drinks. Tickets must be purchased before hand, as these are strictly limited (we only have a small garden!!)

Summer Monday Meetings

As an alternative to meeting at the Sports Centre on Monday evenings in the summer when we do not have the pool, I will arrange meetings at various other venues, and probably have a bite to eat. Possibilities are:- The Rupert Brooke and then possibly go opposite and have a Chinese meal at the Imperial (ask Mike Singleton where it is if you don’t know!!), Exotica Bengal, Lower Street, Hillmorton and Number 10 for Ten Pin Bowling. Please let me know if you are interested in any of these ideas and please feel free to let me have your ideas. Details will be announced before we break up for the summer. Nmes may be required in order for me to book things.

Wind Surfing at Draycote

Would anyone be interested in this? I am awaiting further details but it will be a two hour session and will have to be in the week, probably an evening as the have their own Club sessions at the weekend. I think the price will be in the region of £30.00 but this is really only a guess. Please let me know if you are interested. Date and time to be arranged.
