Well didn’t we have a wonderful summer? So how come whenever I got the barbecue out, the heavens opened and the rain came pouring down. Out of the four barbecues we had this summer, only one was a dry one. A bit different to last year, when all of the barbecues were dry.

The last one we had was the annual Club barbecue held at Pete and Roseen’s house. I think this was the only Saturday out of the whole summer it rained. And didn’t it rain? The day was fairly warm and dry, but come 6 0’clock, the rain came..... It rained and it rained ALL NIGHT LONG!!!. Ever tried putting up a tarpaulin in the rain? Well I have, but at least I had the dry bit, even though I was getting shouted at by Pete H. We eventually got the barbecues lit, and the food cooked.

The amazing thing was, that every one turned up, even baby Daniel Judd. I would like to thank every one for attending the barbecues in the rain, and an even bigger thank you for Pete and Roseen for allowing us into their home to escape the raindrops.
