CLUB DIVING AT STONEY COVE | ![]() |
Winter's coming and our successful monthly Wednesday night Club Evenings at Stoney Cove will soon be turning back into Club Days.
These are ideal chances for training, refreshing skills or for members to simply pleasure dive together and have a relaxing pint afterwards.
We have one more Club evening on Wednesday October 17th. Our winter Club Days are then on:
| Sunday November 18th | Sunday January 20th | Sunday March 17th | Sunday December 16th | Sunday February 17th |
| Stoney Cove Opening Hours | ||
| Saturday & Sunday | 7.00AM - 2.00PM (4.00pm while the clocks are on Summer Time) | |
| Monday to Friday | 8.30AM - 4.00PM | |
| 1st & 3rd Wednesday of each month | 6.00PM - 9.00PM | |
Entrance fees are now £6.00 for Diverlog card holders, £9.00 for non card holders at all times. The shop is open for an extra hour after diving finishes, except on the 'late' Wednesdays, when it closes at 9.00pm. | ||
The training diary is on the web at www.onspec.co.uk/rugdiver/td2001f.htm & www.onspec.co.uk/rugdiver/td2002f.htm so I'm not including it in the web versions of "What's Bubbling"

ESTARTIT, SPAIN
Easter 2002
The diving is similar to, or better than, the UK in mid-summer and is excellent value for money. It is also an ideal place for the family with a huge beach and the apartments have an excellent pool. The first dive is usually over by 10.30am, so the rest of the day could be spent with the family, doing the 'touristy' stuff or whatever.
The plan would be arrive Easter Saturday (March 30th) and leave a week later. Travel would probably be by air, with a small road party taking the heavy dive equipment (cylinders and weight belts are provided).
Costs likely to be around £100 flight, self-catering accommodation £50 (based on a twin room apartment, 2x and 3x twins work out cheaper), five dives £60, ten dives £120, plus the road party's costs, airport transfers etc.
In total a diver doing all dives is likely to pay about £300, £250 for morning dives only, and £175 for a non-diver.
Deposit £50 per diver, £25 per non-diver.
