SUNNY SCILLY
This year's Scilly adventure got a 'Super ++' rating from all those who went. Matt reports grey weather there and back, but continuously sunny in between!
Tearing Ledge, Bishop's Rock, seals and much more. There was also the usual Scilly traditions of Juliet's (that's the fabby tea garden for those who've yet to experience the delights of this place) and two custard parties (diving without weightbelts were we?), a pizza night plus a new one - a lasagne night. There was even a Scilly beach Barbie to which Jim (our skipper) contributed a bottle of wine and some beers.
Everyone had a great time and came back all brown (apart from Mat's nose which managed daily to reveal a new pink version beneath the tatters of the old one!).
Benji and the gang want to go again next year. It really is a magical place, especially when the weather's good. We're looking at mid June-ish, but the booking needs to be made sooner rather than later. If you're likely to be, or maybe, interested, contact Matt Bullen.

ANNUAL DINNER
It seems like ages ago now, but it was another excellent Annual Dinner, although one of our number managed to do a disappearing act for most of the evening. Was this the picture of her before she vanished or when she re-appeared several hours later?

Do you want more social events? Do you want a summer barbecue? If so, we need to be planning now!! Let Bob Kempton know asap and maybe we can sort out another sunny evening at Draycote. |
